The new material: POM
POM (polyoxymethylene, also known as acetal resin) is a technical polymer used where strength and precision are required. It offers high mechanical strength, rigidity, excellent wear resistance and great dimensional stability, retaining its properties even under load and repeated stress. For a quick-release buckle this means reliable closures, consistent sliding over time and a long operational life: essential requirements in the most demanding applications.
SPIDER, quick release for military use
SPIDER is designed for plate carriers, body armour and tactical vests, allowing fast, secure opening even in the most critical operating conditions, where speed and reliability make the difference. It is available in different sizes (40, 75 and 80), also in a BC version. The POM variant adds a high-performance option to Due Emme's range of military buckles, also available in the main IR colours and in a Flame Retardant version, for maximum compatibility with modern technical fabrics.
